Long-time Suns owner Bragan dies

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Peter Bragan Sr., owner of the Jacksonville Suns, died Saturday. He was 89 years old.
A World War II veteran, Bragan was in his 27th year as principal owner of the Jacksonville Double-A franchise. He was named 2004 Minor League Executive of the Year by The Sporting News.
Bragan, a native of Birmingham, Ala., also was a Master Mason with the Shriners. He was one of the original Bragan baseball brothers along with Bobby, Jimmy, Frank and Lionel.
At this time, no funeral arrangements have been made.
